Field Sales Representative

Territory: Mansfield based with future weekly travel to allocated territory

Salary: Basic + Uncapped Commission

Job description

You will be responsible for selling PTC's Pro/ENGINEER software with associated products and services to engineering companies in your allocated territory. The role is to develop new business and expand our install customer base within this territory. The role will also expand to cover PTC's PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools.

No previous sales experience is required as the successful applicant will participate in a six month internal sales training programme.

Ideal Candidate

Graduate. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing confident nature with the desire to succeed in a pressured sales environment. He/she will also be willing to travel and stay in hotels as required. This will be a weekly part of the role following the six month initial training programme.

Applications Engineer

Optima are looking to expand our technical team and we have a vacancy for an Applications Engineer. Primarily focusing on the MCAD (Pro/ENGINEER) applications of the PTC product suite you will be part of the sales team performing the following functions:-

  • Demonstrations of PTC’s products to new and existing companies
  • Delivery of training courses (Bespoke and PTC Standard)
  • Engage with customers as a Pro/ENGINEER expert
  • Work with the sales team to develop accounts and opportunities
  • Manage incoming support requests leveraging the channel hotline
  • Benchmark PTC products against other products
  • Support for the internal design team on certain projects

The role is very much a customer facing role and as such you will be placed in the sales environment on many occasions. You must be motivated and driven to work as an Engineer in this sales environment.

You will be based at our Mansfield office but will be expected to travel on a regular basis throughout the UK.

Ideally you will be degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years Pro/ENGINEER experience. Good knowledge of advanced modelling, surfacing, Pro/Mechanica, animation & PTC’s data management tools will be useful. Alternatively you will perform a similar role with another CAD package.

The package will include a basic + commission + pension + possible car allowance all negotiable based upon experience.

Design Engineer

Optima are looking to expand our design team and we have a vacancy for an Design Engineer. Reporting to the Design Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of projects for a wide range of customers. As we undertake work in many different clients in many different fields your primary role is to be a good problem solver with attention to detail.

You must have a minimum of 2 years Pro/ENGINEER experience at a high level preferably including Pro/Mechanica and have worked in a design environment.

The role is suited to someone who likes to get involved in all aspects of design from concept up to manufacture. The variety of work means that you won’t get bored!

You will be based at our Mansfield office but will be expected to travel on a occasionally throughout the UK and overseas.

The package will include a basic + pension negotiable based upon experience.
