Moxy Articulated Dump Trucks

Optima have completed multiple projects for Moxy, assisting with their development of articulated dump trucks. Primarily the engineering services provided have included complex finite element analysis, fluid flow analysis, design engineering and technical drawing. Optima enabled the production of the new vehicle variations by analysing the strength capabilities of different pay loads for new trailers. 

The analysis included drop tests simulating a bolder falling into the trailer, understanding the air flow and potential debris through the radiator when positioned in various places on the truck.
