Prior to their engagement with Optima, SALUS relied on their far-eastern partners, Computime, to design and style their products. With a  revised  company strategy in mind – to penetrate the European market, SALUS approached Optima with a view to giving their timing and control product range a fresh, functional, clean look, which would compete more readily in the sophisticated European domestic market.

Optima developed advanced styling concepts and engineered common elements across the range to reduce SALUS’s tooling investment and ensure cost effective manufacturability. After the initial successful product launch, Optima provided styling propositions for the on-going range to ensure synergy of family characteristics and to continue the success of the initial product launch.
