Slimplug is the world’s first folding pin plug. Designed with travel in mind, the pins stow away to allow it to neatly fit into a luggage pack, without damaging the other contents.

Optima worked closely with Slimplug to develop the design through to testing with ASTA for official certification.

About Slimplug…..

Slimplug are a dynamic, young technology company. The Slimplug team were brought together under John Gillis, an experienced design engineer, to solve the long standing problem of the awkwardness of the British power plug.

In June 2006, after nearly 2 years of design, development and testing, Slimplug set a world first as it was granted a product approval licence for a folding pin plug meeting British Standard BS1363.
