Sublime design, the new name for the Optima design team have been offering design and analysis services for over 10 years. The team has been helping "household-name" companies develop products such as BiC, Stanley, Siemens, and BAE SYSTEMS.
Rare Cell Separation device
We are developing a technology for the separation and detection of individual important cells in a biological fluid for the diagnosis of major diseases such as cancer. The objective of the research is to develop early stage light tight units initially for use as laboratory research tools, followed by a device that is suitable for a small scale clinical feasibility study. The consortium partners bring together unique skills in photographic manufacture, design engineering and academic know-how in the behaviour of cells, and an understanding of health care needs for early detection and diagnosis that will underpin the early prototype design and future product manufacture.

TreadCatch
Through the East Midlands Regional Development Agency we have received funding to develop a system to automatically detect tyre tread profiles. The project combines our engineering know-how and innovative design techniques to research and develop this novel technology. The project is at a development stage and will produce a bench-top prototype.

Touac International Ltd
Sublime are providing an introductory process to product development to assist Touac in the research and development of their innovative furniture designs. The introduction to product development includes the whole design process from concept selection to virtual prototyping to 3d visualisation.
